The Felicitas Goodman Institute of Theoretical and Applied Sciences has released "The Flight of the Shaman." This collection of tales by German writer, artist, and researcher of ancient shamanic cultures, Nana Nauwald, was published. It took over 20 years to find and edit the stories included in this book. The book is illustrated by Russian artist Dina Makarenko. It is divided into chapters: "About the First Shamans," "About Secret Knowledge," "About Journeys Through Worlds," "About Death and Initiation," "About Healing," "About the World Tree," "About the Connection Between Humans and Animals," "About Fire and Wind," "About Transformation and Shapeshifting," and "About the Magic Rattle and the Shamanic Drum." In the foreword, Nana writes: "This book is created from the vibrant spirit of a community of people who live and teach the principles of the 'old wisdom of life': everything has a spirit, and we humans are part of the spirit of the first creation, connected to every manifestation of life." This wisdom of our ancestors—people, plants, and animals—still informs the shamanic ritual work that Nana leads in her workshops. She addresses us: "I wish you, dear reader, to enjoy shamanic tales from around the world, that they may touch you, inspire you, and strengthen your joy as a unique and important part of universal life!"
