Henry Abramovitch, "Performance Analysis"

Therapy as a Performance Art by Henry Abramovitch

In Russia, you can buy this book in the online store of the publishing house "Fairy Tale and Myth ".

The original English version of this book can be purchased here .

This book by renowned Israeli Jungian analyst Henry Abramowitz examines the relationship between psychotherapist and patient in the context of the interference of objective reality factors in the analysis process—such as the analyst's illness, terrorist threats, destructive processes in the psychotherapeutic community, and others. Abramowitz's study places particular emphasis on the concept of the analytic temenos, which is explained through numerous examples. Another distinctive feature of the book is the use of imagery from the Old Testament and other religious Jewish texts to amplify and deepen understanding of the unconscious content of complex clinical situations. Henry Abramowitz, Ph.D., is a Jungian analyst and supervisor, founder and former president of the Israel Institute of Jungian Psychology, and member of the Ethics Committee of the International Association of Analytical Psychology (IAAP). He is a professor at the Sackler School of Medicine (Department of Behavioral Sciences and Psychotherapy) at Tel Aviv University, former president of the Israeli Anthropological Association, and facilitator of the Interfaith Forgiveness Training Group (Israel-Palestine). He supervises a group of IAAP candidates in Poland and participates in the Interfaith Supervision project. His book, "Brothers and Sisters: Myth and Reality," has been published in Russian. He lives in Jerusalem and enjoys poetry, painting, dreamwork groups, and Jerusalem. This book will be useful for psychotherapists and helping professionals, as well as anyone interested in Jungian psychology.
