About leaders and topics of seminars / Leaders and Seminars
Tine Papic is an individual member of the IAAP, a training Jungian analyst and supervisor, director of the Open Institute for Psychotherapy in Ljubljana, Slovenia, lecturer at the Sigmund Freud University in Ljubljana, president of the Slovenian Society for the Study of Analytical Psychology.
About Tina's seminar. Maria Louise von Franz said that a subordinate function is a window through which not only angels, but also demons, can penetrate to us. During the workshop, we will explore why it is important to define your typology, subordinate function and shadow, and how this manifests itself in countertransference. We will recall the theory of typology and transference and consider how these spheres of experience intersect. We will look at real examples of how reactions occur in the analytical process, and vice versa, how sometimes the analyst is inactive when his effective participation is precisely necessary. In the group we will discuss our own typology and its connection with the shadow, share experiences and perform practical exercises on this topic in order to feel this material for ourselves and apply it practically.

Tine's seminar. Marie Luis von Franz said that inferior function is the windows through which not only angels but also the daemons come to us. In this workshop, we will explore why it is good to know our typology, inferior function and our shadow and how can it manifest in the countertransference. We will look at the theory of typology, typology, and theory of transference and how these two fields interfere. We will look at the true examples of how acting out can occur or it's opposite how it can manifest in not acting when needed. We will discuss in a group setting our typology, how it connects to our shadow, share our experience if desired and do practical exercises connected to the topic that will make us familiar with the material.

About the Drago seminar. Money and Shadow in analysis (4 hours). The purpose of this workshop is to help participants conceptualize and symbolize situations in analysis that involve payment, and to make financial decisions when required. We will begin with the classic definition of the shadow in Jungian analysis. This will take us to the shadow complexes, with the emphasis on the money complex. Like any complex, the money complex has a collective aspect. We will try to understand the collective aspect of the money complex by delving into the real history of money and economics and comparative material from myths, fairy tales and religion. In the second part of the workshop we will discuss specific case studies as a group. I ask the participants to prepare examples and questions related to the topic of money and payment from their own practice experience and possibly from life in general.

Drago's seminar. Money and Shadow in Analysis (4h). The goal of the seminar is to help participants think and deal with money issues in analysis. We will start with classical definition of shadow in Jungian Psychology. This will lead us to complexes that constitute the shadow with special emphasis on money complex. As every complex, money complex has its collective aspect. We will try to understand collective aspects of money complex through history and economy of money and comparative material from fairy tales, mythology, religion. The second part of the seminar will start with specific themes from practice that will be discussed in the group. The participants are asked to contribute with prepared examples/questions from their own practice/life connected with money.
Natalia Reteum is a Jungian analyst, member of the IAAP, supervisor, and has a practice at the Open Institute of Psychotherapy in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Natalia received her psychological education at Moscow State University. Lomonosov in 2007, and continued her education at the Jung Institute in Zurich, Switzerland (2008 – 2013). Currently, in addition to her private practice, Natalia also teaches analytical psychology at the Sigmund Freud University in Ljubljana.
About Natalia's seminar. The development of shadow themes is one of the main, routine parts of the analysis. We know the classic approaches to such work. But we also know from experience that sometimes in practice everything is different than in the book, and classic recipes do not work. In such cases, our work with shadow complexes is not very effective. In this workshop, I propose to reflect on why we as therapists fail to help our clients recognize and integrate their shadow, and to what extent and how the therapist's shadow may be involved. I will be using examples from my own practice and invite participants to share examples from their own practice as well, especially those where they feel they need a fresh perspective on shadow work.

Besides working in private practice, Natalia also teaches analytical psychology in Zigmund Freud University Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Natalia's seminar. Working on shadow issues is one of the main parts of any analysis. We know the classic approaches to such work. Yet we all also know that sometimes things dont go by the book or that the classic recipes dont help. And in such cases we are not very effective in working with shadow complex. In this seminar I propose to look at how and why we therapists may be failing in helping our clients to recognize and integrate the shadow and how our own shadow may be a reason for such failures. I intend to use examples from my own practice and encourage participants to bring cases where they feel they may need some fresh insight into working with shadow.
Olga Kondratova is a Jungian analyst, member of the IAAP, teacher of basic and regional programs of the IAAP, supervisor of the IAAP, member of the ROAP, has a private practice in Moscow, Russia. Author of the programs “Jungian Fairytale Therapy”, “Shamanic Circle of Myths” (together with Elena Ratnichkina), a number of articles in the journal “Jungian Analysis” Moscow, initiator of the translation and publication in Russia of the book “The Replacement Child” by Maurice Poro.
About Olga's seminar. At the seminar we will take a close look at the now familiar obligations that the analytical profession imposes: loneliness, isolation, remaining in silence. Each of these concepts has a shadow side - the temptation of relationships, publicity, speaking and listening, making up the meanings of the other. How to withstand the anxiety and tension that are necessary conditions for the alchemical reaction of analysis? Let's do a couple of exercises, discuss a couple of vignettes from practice, and fantasize about acting out and the freedom of the analyst.
